Personal blogging and neat technology tricks

Hi! I’m Alli, a trans woman and occasional blogger based in upstate New York. I’m glad you decided to come visit me here, and hope you’ll stick around!

A woman with brown hair, brown eyes, and glasses, smiling at the camera. I created this website to give people a jumping off point to get to know me as well as to give me a soapbox to talk about whatever strikes my fancy (usually tech-related tutorials, but I’m starting to branch out a bit). I’ve had it for a while, but this most recent redesign was done in tandem with pulling back on major social networks as well as being part of my gender transition. I really enjoy having a space dedicated for my own content, and a personal blog fills that niche admirably.

My major focus as far as hobby projects goes is websites designed to provide services while protecting user privacy. I maintain a full list of projects, but some of the highlights include Wishlist, a simple way to share holiday wishlists, and zabbixweb, an at-a-glance frontend for a Zabbix monitoring server. I continue to look for new challenges and ways to innovate in the online space, and I am always eager to learn about new methods and opportunities.

If I’m not at my desk, I can often be found spending time with my cats, or out and about in western New York, taking in the scenery - or the food - with my camera by my side.
