New York-based system administration and web development
Hi! I’m Allison, a systems engineer and web developer based in New York.
I created this website to give people a jumping off point to get to know me as well as to give me a soapbox to talk about whatever strikes my fancy (usually tech-related tutorials, but I’m starting to branch out a bit). I’ve had it for a while, but this most recent redesign was done in tandem with pulling back on major social networks, among other things. I really enjoy having a space dedicated for my own content, and a personal blog fills that niche admirably.
My major focus as far as personal projects goes is websites designed to provide services while protecting user privacy. I maintain a full list of projects, but some of the highlights include FastInviter, a simple event management platform that doesn’t require account registration, and zabbixweb, an at-a-glance frontend for a Zabbix monitoring server. I continue to look for new challenges and ways to innovate in the online space, and I am always eager to learn about new methods and opportunities.
If I’m not at my desk, I can often be found spending time with my cats, or out and about in western New York, taking in the scenery - or the food - with my camera by my side.
