Privacy Policy

Hello! If you’ve reached this page, you probably saw something on the website that asks for your email address or something and asked yourself “Hey, I thought Allison was serious about privacy! Why does she want my personal information?”, and let me be the first to tell you that I am glad you asked. I put this together to give you an idea of what I do with your information and, more importantly, what I don’t do.

My website is pure HTML - there is no tracking involved, and there never will be. I do not put any cookies on your device. I will not put cookies on your device.

That said, there are a couple places where I ask for your email address: specifically, the contact form and my comments system.

For the contact form, your email address is passed through to me so I can respond to you if I need to. It’s not stored anywhere except in an email message sent directly to me.

For the comments, your email address is used only to validate a comment as an anti-spam measure. When posting a comment, the system will send you an email with a link in it to click to approve your comment; your email address is not stored anywhere at all. The technical details are available in this blog post.

If you have any further questions or need clarification, please reach out to me and I’d be happy to clarify!
